“A failure is not a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.”
B.F. Skinner
A warm welcome...
in my holistic practice for coaching and counseling for children, young people and teachers
About me
I was born and raised in Mississippi being the oldest of four boys. I studied and tried my hands at a few different jobs before I studied Psychology. From the moment I took my first course, I knew this is what I wanted to do-that is- help people. Having deviated from this path slightly, now I realise that is where I should be.
I have worked in in education for the past 25 years with 20 of those years being in international education. This has allowed me to understand the challenges from all sides be it the student, parents or the teacher. I’ve taught in the classroom, worked as a school counsellor and have been a head of school for an international school. Having worn all of these different hats allows me to offer a complete and rounded service.
I’ve witnessed students struggle with academic issues, social success and pressure, self-confidence, thought patterns, and goal achievement. Additionally, I have seen how teachers struggle to teach and keep up in today’s ever changing. Using proven behaviour management and coaching techniques, I create individual plans for each situation and each person.
As a Psychological Counsellor and Coach, children and adolescents trust me because I get it; parents trust me because I’m educated with a Masters Degree in Human Relations (Psychology) and certified as counsellor and coach; teachers can relate to me because I have lived and walked in their shoes.
If my services sounds like something something you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me to determine if we are a fit for each other.
